I recently updated my phone to a 5G capable phone and have always researched SIM only plans that do not lock me in to a contract, so this time I wanted to be able to make use of my 5G device. I found many companies offering trial 5G plans that would revert to 4G after a certain time and many offering large amounts of 5G data at expensinve rates separate to 4G rates, which IMHO is a rort as data is data.
I have now ported to Belong Mobile as they have several competetive plans to choose from that are all 5G capable, if you still have a 4G phone these SIM plans will still work for you at those speeds. Hopefully more providers will give up on seperate 4G/5G plans as there should be no difference to then end user apart from the device they are using and the coverage they have.
