Wayne Templar 61452

Claims made by Chris Long, VK3AML that my father never served in Vietnam are clearly FALSE with evidence available online. The following website shows a video of Soldiers in Vietnam giving Christmas messages in 1969 to families back home. At 17:45 in the video it clearly shows my father giving a message to myself and the rest of my family.

Wayne Templar 61452 did serve in Vietnam and died from Agent Orange related Pancreatic Cancer in 1993.

Wayne Templar 61452 was often called by Police and Vietnam Veterans at odd times of the day or night to assist returned soldiers in need, this was an ad hoc service he provided voluntarily to the Veteran community before PTSD was even recognised.

Wayne Templar was also active with the Healesville and Lilydale RSL and was a Cub Scout Leader for many years, he was dedicated to his country and local community.

He proudly continued military service in the Australian Army Reserve up until his death.
